Rising the awareness is a huge part in my work as a stylist, designer and creative director.

With many of my clients I focus on working consciously and with clothes we already have in our wardrobe.

As I got asked if I want to partner for this project, it was an immediate YES to me as this topic is very dear to my heart! I am beyond grateful and proud the collection got presented at ABOUT YOU Fashion Week in Milan.

As TBWA\Germany brings it beautifully together:

"Perwoll had its very own fashion show, alongside other well-known fashion labels. Only one thing was different: The collection consists solely of second hand and vintage clothes, rethought and restyled!

Because: Did you know that the fashion industry contributes more to climate change than sea and air travel combined? No less shocking is the fact that we wear a garment on average only 7 times before throwing it away. Yes, 60% of all clothing produced ends up as waste within a year. Quite obviously a threatening development that should be stopped asap.

The idea of the NOT NEW-Collection breaks with the convention of “buying new stuff”. As the Disruption-strategy is deeply rooted to the brand’s DNA and one of Germany’s most famous slogans in the history of advertising: “New? No, washed with Perwoll!”.

Every single piece from this collection is sourced from vintage and second hand shops in different cities and online by me and my team.

Also I found fantastic pieces I could rent. Which brings sustainable work to another level.

I´m looking forward to many more impactful projects like this as the time for it is NOW!

Big thanks to the whole team for trusting me and my work.

Much love, Steffi

#RethinkFashion by Perwoll – AboutYou Fashion week Milan 2022 created by Stefanie Schwaiger

“Fashion Rethinkers, are you READY?! #RethinkFashion by Perwoll has returned to the catwalk at About You Fashion Week in Milan! On our “Restyled Runway”, fashion stylist Stefanie Schwaiger impressively demonstrated how to restyle our existing favorite pieces. Our message: Restyle what you have instead of buying new! Because if we took better care of what we have, we could actually create an entirely new fashion collection straight from our closet.”
